I have pain usually in at least 2-3 different places every day. I think I'm in the middle of a flare right now. (I was just diagnosed with FMS, so still learning about all of it.) My back has been particularly sensitive lately though. I went to get a massage 2 weeks ago, which normally feel great & really relax me; this time, she couldn't get my muscles to relax, and it was painful at times. I have one of those vibrating, heated body length mats that you put in a chair or on a couch & lay on...you can decide which area to use the vibrate on. I tried using it last night on my shoulders & upper back, and couldn't even handle that. Hubby doesn't even bother trying to rub my back these days, because he can't do it without hurting me. I'm also having pain in both hips & my butt. It almost feels bruised. Normal?? I take Advil, but it doesn't seem to help. How long do most flares last??

I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...
