i had my gllbladder out in 04 but i was not this bad .. seemed to do ok was extra sensitive in those areas for a long while..

Carrie, I had surgery on my left shoulder almost five weeks ago, Wed. and where my incision is, it still hurts to wear a bra there so I put my bra strap on my upper left arm - close to the joint - and it causes me no pain there at all.

Well I don't know if this helps, but I had a TAH ( total abdominal hysterctomy )back in Aug07 and this is how I found out that I had FM. We looked back on my files and the FM started 7 years ago when I had my carpal tunal/ulnar realease done. No wonder it never got better..... What a way to learn about this! :(

you are the only other person I have met that even knows what an ulnar is that iswhat I just had done.... I had carpel tunnel 15 year ago

I had breast reduction surgery and gall bladder removal surgery afterwards. I'm allergic to hypoallergenic tape which they taped tubes to me with. With my reduction, it burned holes in my skin the size of a pencil eraser! It was horrible. The gall bladder removal was a breeze compared to the attacks.

it is basicaly carpel tunnel but it is in the elbow effecting the funny bone nerve

I had a hysterectomy last Feb and it took months for the tenderness to go.

Before I had Fibro something like this would not have knocked me back for long but it took about 7 months before I felt better and the tenderness around the scar subsided.

However having said that my actual Fibro went into remission after the surgery and stayed away for about 4 months which was amazing!!!

Hang on in there, you will get over it ;-) (you know you are over it when something else begins to hurt LOL)

I have and it took a while to get over the incision site and pain. Longer than usual.

I had gallbladder out also and I actually went into a flare that lasted about 6 weeks. It was crazy.

ive had three lower backs and will be two years feb1st i had upper back and neck . with donar bone . and every time i have surgery it makes my fibro worse . i have had several minor surgerys. but the back and neck has about done me in. i dont think ill ever be any better but its not going to keep me down . as long as i can move.

I've had about five surgeries since I was diagnosed. I am not sure to what degree, butit took me time to recoup - more than "normals".

I had breast reduction surgery done in July, 07 but had no problems. The surgerical team was well aware of my medical conditions and seemed to take great pains to make me comfortable. I had very little discomfort or pain. Maybe I got lucky, huh.

I have had a few surgeries since and at least one more coming. Only one was pretty bad as I went allergic to all tapes! This surgeon only closed incision from inside and left the rest open. UGH! Taped it together day I left hospital with a bumpy four hour drive on an old school bus..Dr. made be some kind of corset thing to wear finally.Others recuperated without much more problems. marilyn
