I have felt on the verge of puking when my pain is bad! Especially when my back hurts sooooo much I want to puke!
Also...IBS is associated with Fibro and sometimes when I eat or drink even water my IBS will kick in and I will throw up or gag my food up without warning!
I have learned that certain foods and drinks really upset my IBS and my pain for that matter and I have tried to learn, when, where and what I can eat, but there are times that my stomach has a mind of it's own and won't accept whatever food it doesn't like of it's own accord and those are the not so fun, puke without warning days!
I mean, just last night I got a REALLY bad migraine and I felt like I was gonna puke! Took my Excedrine Migraine and I managed to get my dinner down without puking, then I drank a swig of water maybe 20mins. after I ate or so and I immediately started to not be able to swallow the water and I guess a drop of water went down my throat and I immediately started gagging( pre-puke feeling) and then just had to run to the bathroom and throw up the water!
So yes, I am a personal witness to the fact that extreme pain of any kind can make you puke!
Take care,
Stay sane!
Did tums or rolaids help?
How are u feeling now?
*hugs* 2 u just a few more days and u see the rheumo.
Please take care. Hope the vomiting problem will soon subside! Love, hugs and prayers for you!!!
You should ask a doctor, just to make sure. It always pays to be careful.
Her thing is that most of the time when she is going to vomit she doesnt know, she just throws up. She has been in alot of pain from fibro recently. I think its the pain and how her body is dealing with it. She hasnt switched meds or started any new meds so its not that.
I know 1angelmom personally, we live in the same town.
I don't have the vomiting problem and was also curious is this was part of fibro or a way for her body to deal with the pain. Shes been in a flare for a while now.
She is going to see the same rheumo i see and i so so so hope he helps her the way he has helped me.
Its got to be extremely irritating to just throw up out of the blue with no warning that its coming, ya know. I don't think its the flu or some sort of virus going around, I think she said that this has been happening on and off for maybe 3-4 weeks now? not sure.
If this is a side affect from the fibro this part can just bypass me, i dont want to be throwing up with no warning.
S, im sorry that your having so many problems from this nasty fibro. I hope u r feeling better and cant wait until tuesday for you.
