I was told by my childs pediatrition that kids dont normally have growing pains. That growing was natural and that it shouldnt hurt. That the pain was probally related to lots of play or something else was going on. I then talked to my pcp and he agreed and said that alot of people that have growing pains as a child have a higher chance of having Fibro of some degree later in life. I personally had growing pains and yup have fibro... my son had growing pains (and they usually matched up with days that I was having problems due to weather or what not) he would wake in the middle of the nite crying... so I know it wasnt just mimicking me. I would give him tylonal and help him soak in a warm tub and sometimes he would use my heating pad on low and it would ease the pain.
How many of you had growing pains when you were little?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Don't know if there is a relation to FM or not.
I hope that you figure out what it is, and I really hope it's not fibro! I know that it is hereditary, and our kids have a higher chance of getting it.
I know when I was young that they didnt even know that FM exsisted... When my son had problems with his tummy and his legs I too took him for chiropractic and it helped... but even now it helps me with my fibro... so it still makes me wonder...
Those that had growing pains do you remember if they were anywhere near the areas you have problems with now? I know my legs are my worst and thats where I had growing pains
Hmmm food for thought for sure
my fibro symptoms date back to my early teens heck of a time to get it..
i'm keeping a really good eye on my kids too..
