For the US citizens, Happy Fourth of July!
I woke after 3 hours of meh sleep to ... cats. Shadow was left out overnight (it was in the 70s*F so no issues there) and was hungry as hades, my girls had escaped their "cat-suite" (Lever-style door handles... And Hubby didn't force it to a good click-shut, so guess who got it open???) and so here I am at like 515 having already wrangled cats and on a heating pad and good news, my strep is easing (so far!) but my Cat Quota runneth over...
Also, when giving the girls their "we're awake, you're awake, time to eat" breakfast, guess who got a smack by accident? Yep. Dahlia came skidding in for her share (ignoring that she had hers) and I went to shoo her away and bopped her on the skull. *sigh* Two seconds later, she let me pick her up and apologize, so obvs she's nto a grudge-holder, but Dixie was all, "WHOA! I did not see that!" ...
Am I coherent? Probably not. Eh. What else is new. I woke up with Ktay Perry in my head ("Firework", appropriately enough) and that's always a bit odd for me.
First in history today include
First bullfight in the US today in 1884, in Kansas
FIrst rodeo, in 1886, in Prescott, Arizona
First double-decker streetcar, in San Diego, in 1892
Debut of the 50-star US flag in 1960, in Philadelphia, PA
And whlie this wasn't a first, it was kind of a nasty last... Judge DOle (yes, as in the pineapples, judge's cousin started Dole FOod company) in 1894 declared Hawaii a republic, marking the end of its monarchy by seizing power for... uh... yeah... This is probably one of many many reasons that there's "Kill Haole" days...
True but weird: A Texas convict en route to prison, where he would await exeuction, was severely injured when the prison bus crashed. He flatlined, but was brought back to life at the ER, and still... went to Death Row and was executed.
Also, the new food has given Dahlia even *more* energy (oh heaven help me) and she's currently bopping a ball around the house. At 530 AM. Oh rapture...
Have a wonderful THursday! :-)
Some people said they were interested in seeing this, it's the drawing of bfs friends dog
Good morning, and yes, I'm in a Fibro Zone. Hot hot hot humid humid humid. May as well just crank my Fibro to nine and leave it there. Oh wait... The weather did. *sigh*Well, I started out investigating good walking shoes and wound up on anacondas of the Amazon.I'll spare you that journey (you're welcome) and settle for this tale.***Dahlia squalls.Dixie fluffs up her tail and flees.I hobble at...
