Ok I know it sounds funny butt (get the pun) my back and butt hurt so bad some days and I know sitting in this chair doesn't help but even if I move around and go for my walk it still hurts.
Right now I am going to go lay on my best friend (ok guys give me a break) my new heating pad. It seems to be the only thing that helps. During the day if I'm cleaning or doing anything really, it starts burning and then the pain travels in to my butt. If I lay on my bed stomach down that seems to help but in order to help it I have to do that about every 1/2 hour. I have heard about those pain patches, has anyone used them and do they work?
Any thoughts on this would be most Appreicated.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Heat will help it relax, but you should be stretching it or massaging it while you are heating it, otherwise the muscle just bakes into the same condition it was when you started. Think of it like warming up and stretching your muscles before a run or a marathon walk. Since I started on all the meds I'm on for RA I haven't had it very much. It was a chronic problem for me for YEARS. I take drugs for FM, RA & OA and I wouldn't even begin to know which drugs are helping me. If you want a list, let me know LOL! Hope you get it relaxed! Hugs jilly
I have this daily and yes I use patches when my doctor gives them to me - my old doctor had no problem giving them to me but because they are expensive my new doctor doesn't like to. CAT
Oh, but I do know you can get covers for them for free from the company that makes them. They won't stay on without them. You can buy them for $1.50/apiece at the store, but that's kinda pricey to me. Good luck, keep us informed.
See, there is something funny in everyday life.
Try the patches...what do you have to lose?
I use alot of heat and stretching. My best frienis not a heating pad - it is a heated mattress pad. Can't live without it!
From what you are describing, it sounds like disc or nerve problems. Have you been diagnosed with this?
I hope you feel better and have a comfortable evening.
