For the past 3 days I have had increase in pain, but more of a stiffness type pain, and dizziness. I feel really heavy, like a bad sleeping med that drags on the next day.. that "hang over" feeling. I dont have a temp. no other sypmtoms. Is this just a crazy flare or probably a crazy virus? I have dont nothing but sleep for the past couple of days. I thought today I would forse myself to at least stay awake, even if I just take it easy in the recliner... anyone have any feedback??
Thanks!

Good morning, and happy 2019 to us all!***OK, that said, gimme a nap and a slap upside th ehead. Letting a friend use our bathroom for showering for a few mornings. He'll be here at oh-crap-early. Why did I say yes before I thought of my needs? Because. THat's what I do. *headdesk* times ten.So that means I gotta have things ready and pretty and also not freak out, b/c much as I don't mind, I do...

I finally came now I will hopefully sleep. My cat pooped out beside me. Must get her, cat & I to bed!
I take a drive (BUT DON'T if you're dizzy, obviously!) or just putter around the house. Since Christmas is upon us, maybe write out some cards. OR, bottom line, if you feel REALLY lousy...which to me that "hangover" feeling IS lousy, just rest.
It won't last forever...but it may/probably will come back again and you'll figure out what works best for you.
Just remember to keep drinking fluids (preferably lots of water) and eat right. Try not to drown yourself in sugar and carbs. I did that once and ugh...I really felt hungover.
Just nurse yourself for a while...you'll be OK. Been there...you're not alone.
Love and gentle hugs,
Morus

I hope you feel better soon!
It happens to me from time to time. I usually either stay home and take a sick day or I go home sick. I do nothing but stay in bed. Usually in a day or two, it passes.
I can tell the difference between viral aches and pains and those from FM. It's like the first day of full-blown flu that engulfs your whole system but there's no usual stomach issues, sore throat, fever, respiratory stuff, etc. -- just a clammy, yucky, blah feeling all over.
This time of year, there's a sespool of critter bugs, viruses, etc. floating around for everyone to catch, brew, and share.
Rest, rest, rest, and more rest.
you so need to rest...do light stretches tho to keep those muscles from getting TO TIGHT...a warm {NOT HOT} shower...can you take ibuprophen ?...that is the one thing I can still take that does not seem to bother me...and it helped me thru enuff so I made it anyway !!
Take care of self right now so it will lift faster !! and after this, slow and steady...no pushing and NO GUILT!! Take care MyFriend, Bonnie
You might want to journal what you are eating for a few days....I find that once I get into the "sugar" funk and feel bad then I tend to snack even more rather than fix good meals which spirles me even further into the "flare". And yes I do call it a flare. Even if it is self inflicted! I have found that stress also brings on flares...and this is a stressful time of year. I am also smell sensitive...and there are so many extra smells this time of year...you can't enter a department store without candle and perfume smells so strong they nearly knock you down...
My best advice is to try to figure out what triggers your flares and then "deal" with the problem accordingly. You can't eliminate all stress, all smells, etc from your life but you can control some...
I am in the not wanting to cook but snack mode so am going to make a big batch of veggie soup to have on hand...hoping that will help me some.
Hugs and Good luck....
