I am relatively isolated regarding my FMS/RA/?. I don't chat about this with friends and family becasue no one really understands and I don't have real world friends with health issues. So even though I've been at this for a few years I feel like I still have lots of baby questions.
When you flare, do you run low grade fevers, have facial swelling(usually only one side), and swollen lymph glades?
I'm so grateful for DS and all of you. You have very quickly proved to be a safe place to share without feeling like a complete loser.

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
You should talk with your doc about it.
happens when I Flare, or simply when I have done very much thru out the day...I call those "Mini Flares".
I have had swelling, but in the BACK of my neck, Usually the right side...which is ALSO the side that bothers me the most..
as far as the trigeminal Neuralgia...Unless it hits me in my eye, I really do not swell much...maybe a bit from the jaw to the ear...or maybe it is so tender it just Feels swollen, I don't really know..but TN is so Incredibaly Painful {for most, tho not all}...that it will usually Force you into seek Medical Treament..she really didn't mention anything about a severe pain on one side of the head...
the Lymph nodes in the back of my neck do become inflamed...making me Feel very sick...heat applied to those will make you feel alot better...and coolness to reduce any swelling, I alternate back and forth when it gets real bad..
Hugs to you !!
I know large cities tend to have them, if you live in the city or close by.
Primary signs and symptoms of chronic fatigue as quoted from the Mayo clinic are as follows.....
In addition to persistent fatigue, not caused by other known medical conditions, chronic fatigue syndrome has eight possible primary signs and symptoms. Chronic fatigue syndrome symptoms include:
Loss of memory or concentration
Sore throat
Painful and mildly enlarged lymph nodes in your neck or armpits
Unexplained muscle soreness
Pain that moves from one joint to another without swelling or redness
Headache of a new type, pattern or severity
Sleep disturbance
Extreme exhaustion lasting more than 24 hours after physical or mental exercise
maybe this will help.
Many illnesses mask other illnesses which is why docs need to do blood testing to find out what is what.
