Yeah ! I hate when you just cant warm up, I get that at night alot.. shaking. My best friend that I take with me EVERYWHERE, is my heating pad. If you dont already have one, get one! It warms you up and softens the pain.. Cant leave home without it ! (sorry Visa) LOL

is being cold a symptom of fibro, i cant get warm most days and have a warm blanket on my sofa at hand but my friend looks at me strange saying its quite mild outside but for the life of me i cant warm up.

at night i am the opposite tho as i seem to suffer from night sweats at the moment but not sure if thats down to my tablets but its horrible

If you are feeling like you can't warm up, you might want to try an electric blanket in between your normal blanket and your sheets, like a blanket sandwich...lol. I got one at Wal-Mart for 29.99 (twin sized) and it's the best 29.99 I've ever spent. I use it almost daily, either at night, the morning or sometimes both. The brand is Sunbeam so I'm sure if you're not near a Wal-Mart, any store that would sell bedding should have them, or, you can get one on-line. I'm not brand partial, but I did think it was a good quality product for a very reasonable price. Plus, it comes in different colors.

I usually like hot tea at bed time. Unfortunately, I usually wake up in the middle of the night & do the fibro-pee pee dance all the way to the bathroom! Lol! I've got a nice warm down blanket. I love that thing! I may have to invest in one of those electric blankets though! :}

Hi, I live in Northern California and have simular weather to Truckee where it can dip into the teens in winter. I load up with boot socks and a numerous blankets including 2 comfoters. Today was unseasonable warm but winter will be lengthy here and I know how it makes me hurt. Hoping for an electric blanlet for x-mas. I warm up with baths when it gets bad and spend most of my free time in sweats. My hubby had a good idea to keep them by the dryer and pop them in for 5-10 min to warm myself. Everything seems achier in the winter and know it will get long.

Problems with heat and cold are certainly part of fibro, as are night sweats. I keep my bedroom on the cool side, but have an electic mattress pad on the bed. I don't like breathing warm air, but the bed stays warm. If I get too warm, I can either throw it to the side or turn it down or off. But I sleep alone, so I can have things my way

I made one of those microwavable rice heating pads. Has anyone ever tried those? They are wonderful!

I know what you mean. The change in weather always affects me too. I am glad that you felt that yu could vent here. Peace and comfort are what I wish for you today

Awww .... honey I hate to see that you are having trouble too.Wish you were here and we could wear our blankies all day and sit in front of the fire and watch the leaves fall from the trees together.The heated matress pad is a life saver, I would really have a hard time without it ,like Ladybug, I don't like to breathe warm air , makes me cough and hubby claims that I snore. Of course we all know that women don't snore...we purr !!!And I can't take the weight of heavy quilts so my Christmas wish is for a down comforter or an electric blanky , and I have been a good girl all year !!
I do hope you warm up .And what bearable said about putting things in the dryer is wonderful...I have one of those terry robes and while I am in the shower , it is in the dryer...warm and toasty by the time I get out.
