Today was a scary day. I've been feeling overly exhausted & worn out for the last week or so. Bad weather, extra stress, you name it. I was driving home today & dozed off for just a second while I was driving. It was really scary. I don't know what to do. There has GOT to be something the doctor can do to help me with this. I have to drive my son to school & home every day. There is no bus, I have to do this. I can't be falling asleep driving though. I have been sleeping as much as possible lately, a few days I've slept most of the day, only waking up to take care of the baby & then going back to the couch or bed.
Is there anything out there besides Provigil? I really need something, and I need it NOW. My doctor didn't want to give me provigil for some reason. I think I need to find a new doctor, one more willing to work with me, who's a little more up to date with fibro treatments.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...

The truck drivers that deliver to our store use them. They work very long shifts and drive dangerous roads and they all seem to rely on these.

find a new doc, hang in there. u r not alone
Do you have a friend or neighbor or relative that can take the kids for a little while? Please seek a new doctor. When you get the new doctor request blood work be done to look at your vitamin and mineral levels and then look at anemia.
If you are not sleeping right like i'm sure we all are - try and get on a schedule - Also ask the new doctor about natural and medications that help with sleep and energy.
Do you have an electric blanket? That is what I use, I found a heating pad didn't cut it for me so I bought the blanket. I sleep pretty well most nights now.
Also talk with the doctor about MangoSteen Fruit extract. If the doctor doesn't help talk to a nutritionist and also maybe a neurologist. Good luck to you and please be careful! Cat
i hopes this helpes
my iron very low my folic acid , b12 and thyroid all off..i am exhausted all the time..these are things you can also check into. but yes definately see a doc. now they are going to be doing test and a biopsy to see why my body is not absorbing these things....good luck hun. take care of yourself
If nothing else works, I would try to find a new doctor who will provide you with the Provigil. I find, when I don't take it, I'm feeling exactly like you. I could sleep all day long and driving is struggle indeed.
I hope that you get some relief soon. Let us know how you do with this.
You're not alone, so hang in there.... :)
Love and hugs,
Morus
I would tell this to your Doctor..
Plus its no wounder you even get up with all the {down pills} you take?? I have suffered years with bad concentration and was diagnose with ADD.. I have been on Adderall several years.. In one word.. Its speed to normal people.. But for me it helps big time with concentration and also helps me function for a while when I need too.. The way fibro treats me!! If I did not take it.. I don't think I could get out of bed.. Please do not think I want you to ask for speed from your Doctor.. I do understand what you said,, Or?? B-12, Royal Jelly, and other products from the health food store can give energy just as well.. Good luck!!
