O.k. It's been a crappy week, but I survived!! I had the nerve conduction test which showed I have some mild neuropathy in L5. I had a MRI which showed I had bulging from L2-3 L3-4 L-4-L5 and L5-S1 with slight canal narrowing. I had the facet joint block. I will not be doing that again. I need to vent so here we go.. The nurse couldn't find a vein so she stuck me several times. The doctor stuck me twice, but Praise God he found a vein on the second time. They wheeled me into the ER with no meds prior. I climbed over on to the Table and they but a BP cuff on me, hooked me up to Oxygen and put the surgical drape over me and then when the DR came in he wanted to know if I wanted some "happy Juice" they gave me a shot in my channel lock and proceded. I could feel everything!!! They gave me some more fentayl in my channel lock and still I could feel everything. I cried the whole time and when they took me back to my curtain, they took my BP 220/175 and they made me wait until my BP went down which it did to 200/140 and they sent me home and told my husband not to let me take any meds for 3 days. I cried all the way to the car and all the way home. I called them the next day and they are closed on Friday. I spoke to the answering service and they said they can't page the dr for pain, HE IS A PAIN DR!!?? I was to go to the ER. My husband went to work yesterday and I was home alone and now he's gone camping until the Monday. So I'm home alone until then. They pain has eased some but is still awful. Has anyone ever had this problem.

theatre and I are there already. I'm having a very berry tea with crackers, cheese and cherry tomatoes and she's having a joint with some beer and we're both on really comfy recliners on thick pile carpet. we need some help with the decor if anyone is around??

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Sounds absolutely horrible, I am so sorry you were put through this! And this was supposed to HELP your pain?? And your husband went camping and left you alone?!Omigod, you must be a saint! I strongly think that bcause of the last 1 or 2 injections this is the reason my neck pain is so much worse.
So what was the point of giving u the happy juice if it didnt work?
Does your doc want u to have this done again?
Why can't u take any pain meds for 3 days?
Everytime I had this done he sent me home with pain meds other than what i took on a regular basis, I also had to lay down and not move my head and neck too much for 2-3 days after.
I missed so much work over this i finally said to myself, ok i think this pain doc is just lining his wallet from both me and my insurance company.
Im not saying that is what your doc is doing at all.
Its a bit funny bcause now this pain doc, that agreed with my other doc at the time that i had fibro and arthritis and something wrong with certain areas in my neck, he is the very same pain doc that has told a very good friend of mine that fibro is all in her head. lol
I hope u can get some more relief this weekend. Do u have someone that can come over if u really need something?
