Does anyone else's eyes hurt? especially after reading?
Mine have gotten lately to where they are very sensitive to light in general (they will tear up sometimes if they are exposed to light). this sensitivity is much worse after i have been trying to read stuff. keyword:trying. i can't read stuff for very long. my eyes just get tired of focusing or something.
This first started last week when i started taking neurontin. my doctor said vision changes were a side effect of the med and that it would go away. after 4 days at 100 mg each morning, my symptoms had not gotten better and i was in horrible pain so my doctor had me stop the medicine. i'm supposed to call him back when the pain goes away so that he can try me on another medicine. unfortunately, the pain or reading thing hasn't gone away. it got worse when i first stopped the neurontin. it has gotten slightly better but i don't feel that i should be having side effects this long after stopping it. and i called my doctor but he hasn't called me back.
I try not to read that much, but being in college, that's not quite possible. i'm getting horriblely behind in my classes and my teachers are starting to be less understanding. soemtimes i have to just suck it up and do my work b/c my teachers won't give me an extension (or more of one). I'll then spend the rest of the day with a cold compress on my eyes, lying in bed b/c i'm in so much pain and i just can't see anymore.
If anyone has any advice on how to help this get better faster/reduce the pain, please let me kno. (i'll have a friend read it for me)
I'm sorry, if some of this doesn't make sense, i'm not looking at the computer as i type and i can't really look back over it.
Thanks you!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I'm glad i dont' have an infection or anything, but the eye doctor said that its probably just a fibro thing. unfortunately, not too much i can do about that. but my doctor is putting me on a week of prednisone to see if that will help with the pain. i had a cortisol stimulation done one, and that was the first time i was completely pain free since i had gotten sick and i didn't even realize i was in any pain until it was gone. so i'm looking forward to taking it tomorrow morning. unfortunately not something i can always take (it causes too many problems if you use it long term or soemthing), but my doctor said that some people do have to take it long term and that's not completely out for me. though i'm not comfortable with that at the moment.
i hope this helps it though and i also hope the pain doesn't come back as soon as i stop taking the prednisone.
Kinda comforting knowing I'm not the only one. Sorry that anyone else has to have this tho.
