Applied 4/06, denied 11/06, 1st appeal 12/06. Just wondering if anyone else had filed, had been denied, had appealed, or any information, tips, etc. about this horrid system.
Thanks

A friend sent this to me..As far as I can see, grief will never truly end.It may become softer overtime, more gentleand some days will feel sharp. But grief will last as long as Love does - ForeverIt's simply the way the absence of your loved onemanifests in your heart. A deep longing accompaniedby the deepest Love some days. The heavy fog mayreturn and the next day, it may recede.Once again, it's...

Today is my 25th birthday, to my somewhat lack of surprise I can see already no one really seems to care. I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
I\'ve had my SSDI since 1997. I became disabled in 1995 and it took me 2 yrs to get mine, 2 yrs to the month! Mine was approved totally based on CFS and Fibro. I filed, appealed and got denied again, appealed again, denied again, then got the lawyer. He got us to the hearing level and I won hands down. I had my back pay in 13 days following the hearing and my checks started the 3rd of the following month. I think it is different for everyone. They jack you around, all of us.
One of my sisters was approved based on her dx of Bi-polar and Fibro, she filed, denied, got the lawyer and was approved in just about 5 months after that. Only had to appeal once. It just makes no sense and there is no rhymn or reason to any of it.
Another sister who has Chronic Pain, fibro, buldging discs in her back and neck, stenosis and lots of back injuriies, AND Bi-polar, has appealed twice now and turned down both times. Now she waits for a hearing.
All I can tell you is to hang in there.

I used to be able to work 50+ hours a week, loved my job, went 1000 miles an hour all day long, made a sizable income, and then BLAM...same ol\' story I know. I\'m just really frustrated.
Again, thanks for everything. Think I\'ll call an atty. on Tues.
Happy New Year to you all, and remember...
