I came here for help and support. And yes, I admit it, I also came here to whine and rant.
What I found was more amazing that I ever imagined. And to think, I kept ignoring this site when it popped up in my original searches for divorce support groups. Yes I said divorce. That's why I originally came here. Once I checked it out and found the fibro community, it was the first one I joined!
What I found were wonderful people, interesting topics and some new good friends. I have received love, friendship, and support beyond belief.
Today I realized something and surprised me. When I offer support to others it helps me feel better. What I say to others reminds me that I need to follow my own "advice." It makes me more aware. It beginning to have a healing & soothing affect on my mind, soul, spirit and maybe eventually (hope, hope) even my body.
I began offering support b/c I want to be helpful to others. I want to make a tiny difference. I just didn't expect this added bonus. I have tried (and will continue) to be supportive because I want to PAY IT FORWARD.
I am so grateful for DS and EVERYONE here. There is much to be learned and shared and my life is 100% better for having found you.
LOVE & GENTLE HUGS TO ALL!

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I often wonder if Doug and others who started this site knew it would be this good and helpful to so many people.
I love it here and all of you !!
