I have had a very difficult time finding a doctor who will give me anything that is a narcotic, not even tylenol 3 or vicodin. He says these drugs aren't for chronic pain, only acute pain. I am in pain almost every day, some days much worse than others. I am told the strongest pain killer you can take that is not a narcotic is tramadol. I took it for a while, but then it stopped working. So now I pop 800 mg ibuprofen, mostly out of habit since it doesn't really work. I don't know what else to do. Why do I read of so many others on this site whose doctors have put them on narcotics for pain, and yet mine won't? I need relief, and can't seem to get it.

I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
