I was wondering if anyone has made any plans to attend either a Christmas or a New Year's Party this month? I will be going to a Christmas Party a week from tomorrow (Dec. 10) at a friend's house. We bring an exchange gift either: make, bake or fake it and also get a hot lunch. This year, I am on the Entertainment Committee and I will be bringing two jello cranberry salad to it.
I don't have plans right now to attend a New Year's Eve party yet.

I have been here before, a long long time ago and now I am back.Forgive me for not just saying what I want to say, even under a triple dose of antidepressants it is still raw and seeping and I am hesitant at revealing it as at least under the bandages around my heart I don,t have to look at how raw and wounded. My child was cleaved from my heart by his own actions. my child of ten, turning eleven...

theatre and I are there already. I'm having a very berry tea with crackers, cheese and cherry tomatoes and she's having a joint with some beer and we're both on really comfy recliners on thick pile carpet. we need some help with the decor if anyone is around??
As far as New Year's, I may host a party. I know I can't be in the woods but I can invite a few special friends in and just enjoy.
Thank goodness, my entire family and all of my friends are aware of my Fibromyalgia and they have been a great help.
I hope you have a wonderful time at the party you plan to attend.
What peeved me off is I was one of the few that actually brought a $20. each gift like we were supposed to. Geesh, some people reallllly cheap out. It would be different if it said "up to" or $10. item etc. but it didn't. I ended up stuck with the ugliest floral cream and sugar set. Yeah, that really cost $20. dollars! ROFL
I actually traded for the ugly sugar set as my first item I opened reeked of cigarette smoke so I quickly traded for the first thing I seen!
love and peace to all

I guess we'll let you stay, sweetie, as I know underneath those blues is a fountain of bubbling laughter!!
I don't know if I can pull it all off but I am praying for a fairly pain free holiday.
I go to a holiday wrapping party for toys for tots and bring my scissors. I love to wrap and it's for a good cause.
We have the kids Christmas play at church which is adorable.
Then I got asked to a Christmas dance on the 22nd and if I hurt I just dance the slow ones.
As a friend of Bill's we have a Christmas Alcothon for 24 hours at the club for Christmas and one for New Years which I stop by. I usually bring a vegetable for the christmas dinner they have and a dessert.
There is a dinner dance for New Years I want to go to if I get asked. It's 35 bucks a ticket but the food is out of this world!
And then there is a candlelight midnight mass and I never miss that. I also go Christmas morning because I love it. I love to sing all the politically incorrect christmas songs like, Away in a manger, Silent Night, Little Drummer Boy, Whose Child is this, etc.
After midnight mass we go and do a late night secret santa run. Last year we dropped off a bag of wrapped gifts with a card from santa on an older womans porch. The card just said, Love Santa.
I hope I can enjoy this year and keep ahead of the pain.
If it's an obligatory appearance, then I'm not inclined to push myself if I already feel lousy.
If it's a party I've been looking forward to, then I might just "drug up" on a max dose of pain killers and hit the road with plans for an early exit if needed.
Unfortunately, the colder it gets outside, the more my husband and I prefer to stay home, light the fireplace and be anti-social hermits...lol.
Seriously, I have plans for several of events between now and New Years. I just hope I CAN attend each event I've marked in my calendar.
