I am a newbie and SO GLAD to have found this group! I really thought I was going crazy with these aches and pains that seem to migrate all around my body, and the tenderness and fatigue. I live where there is not much access to good doctors and the one I have seems to be fibromyalgia-illiterate, or maybe he thinks it is "all in my head" and peri-menopausal. So I have done most of my research on the Internet and read many posts here and so many of you could be speaking for me. My question is, I guess, how do you cope with the pain, tenderness, fatigue, etc. when you really don't get any help from your doctor? I have used the heating pad but cannot take any NSAIDs due to a bleeding ulcer. Most other meds make me sick too. I only developed these symptoms about a year ago and have had 2 really bad flare-ups. Do most of you find that you are always feeling sick and tired to some degree but that you have flare-ups where yoy feel MUCH worse? Any advice you can give me would be so appreciated, as I have a lot to learn and need help in coping. Thanks so much to you all!
