Check out this website. The article discusses brain fog in FM patients and how they conducted tests using both people with FM and without. Let me know what you think about the conclusions or if you have any questions, we can all discuss them.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I agree with the pain assessment impacting congnitive ability whereas depression, fatigue and sleep disturbances don't have that impact...in my personal experience...but depression, fatigue and sleep issues definitely add to stress and pain, so indirectly impact cognitive ability.
I dislocate my shoulder and have since I was 16...when it happens it takes ALL of my concentration or cognitive ability to manage the pain...I don't want to be touched or spoken to until I can get it back into place.
