I read an article in the newspaper about a Fibromyalgia workshop for anyone that was interested. My husband and I traveled about a hour away. We watched a slide show about Fibro. This was presented by a doctor. He suggested, exercise, nutrition, and a chiropractor to help with Fibro. There wasn't any indication in the add that this was about chiropractic help. I have been to so many doctors that I don't know who to believe. Does anyone have an opinion or experience with this?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
That being said, I think the alternative health community is a great place to look for help as they actually believe what you tell them.
A great resource I found is the book Treating and Beating Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome by Dr. Rodger Murphree, a chiropractor. He treats fibro by putting the nutrients and whatnot needed by the body in order to function. This approach is known as orthomolecular medicine and has made a world of difference in my life. I went off all prescription meds after adding amino acids to my protocol and am actually feeling normal for the first time in 25 very l-o-n-g years.
Here's a link to a great article by him: http://www.drmurphreestore.com/newsletters_letters/arefmspatcrazy.html
I've started going to a brilliant accupuncturist - not for pain but for fatigue and I've found this wonderful though the effect doesn't last for long unfortunately but he tells me a course of about 5 sessions once a week should see me through around 3 months - more than worth it!
A friend of mine from this DS website got me turned on to something called "The Firbromyalgia Kit", "The Grove Approach". The kit includes a dvd of Karen Grove talking to a chiropractor, nutritionist and others that I can't remember, two Yoga dvd's for Fibromyalgia with mat and a cookbook. Look up www.thegroveapproach.com and check the info out. I was amazed. I give credit to aroraglory for recommending it to me.
I hope this helps!
Hugs and kisses!

Of course if someone feels it helps them that is great but this is what was told to me..

My last chiropractor was better than this one so I'm in the market for a new one. My last one adjusted my wrist and hands (carpal), face (sinuses), adjusted my one hip (one's higher than the other), back and neck. It really helped get everything flowing...blood, circulation, bowels..you name it.
It's NOT a cure for Fibro as there is NO cure yet. It may help but you may be sore at first until your body adjusts to the adjustment. It should help alleviate pinched nerves, headaches, neck and back aches.
