I am going to be shopping online for a breadmaker machine the next month and watching for sales. I have been wanting one for a few years. For those of you that have one/use one , do you have any tips on what to look for/avoid , and good brands. I cant make bread with these hands of mine , so I thought I would try a breadmaker machine. It is my understanding you can also bake other things in them. Thank You

Who do you turn to when you're looking for some good advice?
A lot of things have changed since then. Different pan sizes that can be used in the same machine and a bunch of other stuff. I'd look at the reviews on Amazon which I find to be pretty helpful. There are a lot of options now and at a lower price point than there used to be when I bought my gizmo.
I hope that you find something that you like and really enjoy. Nothing like the smell of bread baking especially in the winter.
I know also that Kohls has some killer deal on small appliances. So you might be able to keep a little more 'dough' by shopping there. (yes, shaking my head, pun intended, LOL).

Congrats! I think you'll really enjoy it. Oh, and my BIL makes fruitcake and similar in his bread machine. So the newer ones are a lot more versatile!
Angela - my hands , wrists and elbows are too messed up too make bread without a machine.
Fantod - yes, I definitely have research to do. I have to do a little bit at a time because screens still bother my eyes and brain. I can wait for the smell of that bread.
Wonder - I am short too. I didn't even think about the weight of the machine. I will have to buy it on sale.
Leo - I don't have a lot of counters in my little house. I was thinking of storing it elsewhere when not in use like my crockpot. But if they are heavy I am not sure how that will work. Something to ponder about.
