I am taking Cymbalta and Trazadone for the depression. I take Lunesta for sleep and thyroid medication for my thyroid. My pituitry gland is damaged because of a brain tumor. Also, I have to take estrogen and progestrin. I use a heated pad on my neck and shoulders. When it gets really bad, I go in for therapy. I could use a massage everyday, but can't afford one a month. Has anyone tried something different that works????

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
and my awsome Chiro...
I walk as much as I can...which is never very much...but every little bit helps...I also use an exerciser2000...it is a machine that swings ur legs...gets everything {circulation and lymphatic systems} moveing...I take D3...that has helped an enormous amount...was surprised by that...only ibuprophen when i am real pain...hot baths in epsom salts and as long as my husband is here...I am barely able to tolerate them...they help my muscles but leave me very weak...
light stretches and deep breathing every morning and everynight before bed...
I know the Massage IS expensive...BUT...if there is anything that you can cut out of ur monthly expenses and put it towards a massage at least onvce a month...you WILL notice a difference...takes a few times and with a therapist that Knows about FM...the very best of luck to you...I know hpw hard this is to find Something...Anything that helps !!

i have tried aroma therapy, i have used capszacian cream warning it is very hot and tingly...some cannot tolerate it. was has real well if you use it. it is derived from hot peppers..and strangely enough when i am in alot of pain i get a craving for spicy food...i didn't care for spicy food but doc says the spicy stuff is good because of the things like hot peppers and such in them that seem to help pain...go figure. just have to keep trying dofferent things and see what helps but it ma not help all the time that is the problem with fibro..good luck
