Hello, I'm new here and hate to begin this way, but, here I go. My pain Dr. of 16 years, had a meltdown on the phone when I called for my usual refill and dropped me, bang. done. I had been on opiates for years. I took them as prescribed, did not abuse, did not double doctor. Had the same pharmacist the whole time. I was frantic. My husband and I didn't know what to do, so came on the internet and found a place in CA. Outrageously expensive, but dealt with chronic pain, tolerance to opiates etc. They put me on Suboxone. I come back to Ohio and now have time to learn about this new medication they have me on and I see it is mainly used for addiction??! They told me, when you get back, be sure and tell them you were never addicted. I didn't know why they would bring that up?! I'm making other changes and doing well, but, this stigma is messing with my head and I'm so confused.
