I had an appointment friday with my rheumatologist and he said I have fibro and perscribed me cymbalta. I asked about the pressure points and why he didn't check all of them. He said that that was older diagnostic criteria and while some fibro patients have them that many fibro patients dont have them or only have a few. He actually said he hoped I didn't get any of them as that means my fibro is more severe. I asked him about my back and leg pain and my legs feeling weak and all my sensory issues, He checked my leg strength and said i was obviously very strong and that everything i mentioned was seen in fibro. He also looked at all my testing from my neuro from the last year and a half and said he definetly still felt very, very sure my issues were fibro related and that i in deed sounded like many of his patients. He said " I'm sticking with my diagnosis." So now I'm wondering if I should take the cymbalta and if it's safe. appreciate any feedback. it's been a rough 1.5 years.
