There are places I go that provide elevators only to people with disabilities while stairs/ramps are provided to the general public. Stairs and endless ramps are becoming too difficult for me. I have a permanent disability drivers placard, but we all know that strolling up to a monitored elevator for disabled people while I LOOK just fine will raise eyebrows and a lot of doubt. Short of carrying my disabled drivers placard around with me, are there other options to prove that I am entitled to use special accommodations?
