I know that I posted this yesterday-=but I am having SEVERE pain and my percocet is NOT working. What pain meds do you all recommend? I'm waiting for my Dr. to call me back right now. I stupidly went to a concert with my younger brother (he SO wanted to go and had nobody to go with him) and now I have a flare so big I don't know what to do. I feel like I am going to die.

I am glad that you called the doctor. Maybe he will up your med. I am not sure how much you take. Try a warm bath while you are waiting for the doctor to call and some deep breathing. Sorry I can not help

No pain killer works for the direct pain associated with fibro. Neurotin was once used as a medication for seizures and I know from not only my experience but others as well that this medication does help alot with the pain. Be careful not to get to use to the idea of taking pain pills all the time. I had been but on benzos 2 years ago and I finally have come down enough off of the dose to stop them. I know my mother had this illness when she died and medication killed her, the combination anyway. Just watch out !!!!!!!!!

Try a soak in epsom salts. I also take a magnesium supplement to help with pain. A lot of us with fm have low magnesiums.

Heat pads and TENS unit helps me. Feel better soon, hugs Owlxx

I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
