Just found out that I have osteoporosis. Have had fibro for about ten years now. I guess that they are related because of lack of excercise which leads to loss of bone density. Used to work out alot but after I got fibro, just going to work, doing all of the stuff with the kids ect. was all that I could handle. Am 51. So try to walk every day even if you don't feel like and lets face it, we probably don't feel like it. I guess that I should have been on calcium also because I am lactose intolerant and have IBS. Well, hope this can help someone. My doctor thinks that it's hereditary because of the severity and my age but noone in my immediate family has ever broken a bone so I'm not sure.
