not sure. i never have to do any prying,... but they do get a lil cramped after a long day. i don't think it's a prob. but it might be something to bring up with your femme doctor during an annual ?
Both of my daughters have inverted nipples. I asked about it when they were born and the doctor explained that as they developed, the inversion could correct itself. If it didn't, then when they had children and began to lactate that would probably fix it. However, he also said that it's not a big deal. That if it didn't self-correct, there were lots of things the girls could do to cope - meaning things they could use to breast feed should they want to.
If it really bothers you, there are corrective surgeries for it. Although, technically most of the time, they aren't medically necessary so you'd have to pay out of pocket.
Hope this helps.
