I have an 8yr old stepson who is taking meds for ADHD. He is on Concerta. My husband has a family history of BP. My step son is out of control. He writes on walls, he throws food on walls, he flushes toys down the toilet, he still wets the bed, etc. When he gets in trouble he immediately wants to destroy something. I have seen him many times trying to choke our cat. He seems to have no emotional attachment to anyone. In fact he doesn't really show emotion at all. He sometimes only gets 2 hrs of sleep and he's back at it. His mom just says he has issues. I am concered because I've been trying to do research. I just don't know is this really ADHD or symptoms of BP?
