I need some advice about my neice, she has alot of problems and I being a sufferer of depression know the tell tale signs. Her biological father also was adiagnosed with Bipolar. She is now 17 and she has been to the doctors with her mum, but I dont really think they have taken it seriously. She refuses to get help herself and Im worrying about her, her relationship with her family is bad and has had to move in with her nans house. She seems to lie all the time and has serious mood swings, one minute great next really low. She has self harmed and although not badly the docs seem to think its nothing to worry about. She is also very manipulative, and if things dont go her way she goes into a really dark mood. She cant keep a job down, she has one at the moment and only through the fact that her mother used to work there is she just holding onto it. She is at music college but skips afternoons and days, her personal hygene is bad,she doesnt help in the house and cant seem to organize her life at all. please could someone give me advice, on how to get her help
