how long can someone who is bipolar, drinking, have an episode. i have an ex who is not well, and acting crazy. our mutual friend told me the other day he does not seem like the same person, he is parting and sleeping around. i thought by now he would have come down or something. he may not be in my life at all because he just threw me away, but i am still concerned and do not want to see him in the hospital. i read somewhere that episodes can last for years...just want to know from people who would know.
