I finally heard from my daughter. Good news! If she stays on good behavior and continues to go to all AA/NA meetings, then she will be paroled in 3 mths! Bad news....MHMR (who said they would do all they needed to get her help) has declined to assist her in her dual diagnosis. They stated they are unable to help because of the criminal charges. Her charges are felony prescription fraud and felony prescription drug use. I am upset that a prisoner can be denied help if they ask for it. I know they "think" that they are addicts and want to get over the system. But what about those who do drugs because of their mental illness. So basically I will pick her up and take her directly to my doctor and MHMR and pray that we can get her help before she wants to run off to do drugs. I just find it apauling that the system says its okay to lock them up so they can't "do" drugs, but give them no mental health assistance to keep them off drugs when they get out. She is Bi-polar II. ADHD. It just blows my mind.......Just my two cents for the day!

I miss traveling with my husband. Has anyone found a specific site regarding cruising for widow/widowers or any sightseeing trips. Not interested in being with couples and kids,,,I realize a cruise ship will have a portion size of families and couples, but perhaps they also put together a part of the cruise ship for groups of widows/widowers????
