Maybe somebody that knows how the federal sentencing works can explain this to me...
After my husband's conviction naturally he was upset and what he told his then lawyer was that he did not want to talk to anybody until he was thrown off the case and a new lawyer assigned. Well, his old lawyer told the U.S. Probation Dept. that Gary didn't want to speak to them at all. Apparently the U.S.P.D. is responsible for filing a report with the judge to help the judge determine if he should sentence him to more than the minimuim time required for the offense based on his personal background, previous offenses, etc.
They are holding things against him like the fact that he comes from divorced parents, and they are holding 2 domestic abuse arrests against him even though he has already served his time for those and paid his fines. I don't see how they can hold those against him especially since this recent conviction has absolutely nothing to do with domestic abuse, it has to do with the destruction of a neighbor's mailbox.
Any advice... I've tried writing the judge but I don't know whether it has helped.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
