Back in November James sent form 1389 to California to either come pick him up or dismiss his cases. 180 days goes by and no word from California. That was the end of May. I contacted James' public defender so he could submit the dismissal paperwork. His assistant got back to me saying he went on vacation until June 19. On the 20 I contact them by both phone and email. No answer. Everyday since the 20 I've been calling and emailing and I'm not getting any response. I've even left messages for the main public defender and still no answer. This stuff needs to get dismissed before October so James can fill out his interstate compact. That takes 6 months to get approved and if he's going to come to where I am something needs to happen soon with the public defender. I'm at the end of my rope and I have no idea what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions on what else I can do.
