Can anyone tell me how to go about getting
some mental evaluations done on a prisoner?
My son has many symtoms of bipolar. He has told us about not being able to sleep for days before his offense. He was ADD as a child, which is often bipolar, misdiagnoised. I am trying to get a decent mental evaluation done on him. If he had a manic episode, the symtoms would not show up now. I guess I don't know what to do to help him. Please- if anyone has had a similar problem or knows some about this, I would appreciate the help very much. Kim

I've always been the kinda person to make sure that everyone I Care about feels appreciated and knew somebody had their back. I can count 4 times this year when I Went out of my way to make sure a "friend" felt good on their birthday, especially if they got left hanging. Its early in the...
I can tell you medical care in prisons is not the best. I had to fight the entire time my brother was in prison in Delaware for 90 days. He kept getting a run around and I contacted the Warden's office and then went to the Governor's office. Be prepared to be a squeaky wheel to get care for him.
He fills out paperwork and soon they give attention to his needs...maybe there are forms he can fill out too to help himself.
Just a thought!
