Hi I am new to this group and I was just wondering what people think of my situation. When I was achild my dad was a heroin addict and eventually got my mom into doing it too. She only did it for a short time and then she got on a methadone clinic and stopped she also got my dad on the clinic. They did good for a while then it would be like they stayed on the clinic but would still do it once in a while. Anyways after a while my mom met another man at one of the meetings and started having an emotional (not sexual) affair my dad knew about it and would really put alot of pressure on me by crying to me about it and telling me I was the only person he had to talk to (Iwas only 14). My mom ended up leaving my dad for this other guyand my dad ended up back into drugs really bad. About a year later he killed himself. My mom and this new guy ended up using drugs and life was really bad for me and my lil sister for a while. They did eventually clean up there act and life turned around for them. They had a nice luxury apt.,made good money had nice cars. I had ababy who was born with a serious skin disease and they really helped me with her and were helping me raise her. Unfortunatly after about 10 years of being clean they started using again and lost everything. I try to talk to them but they tell me not to worry about them and that they are grown but it's hard losing my dad really ruined my life it left me felling guitly and depressed and I don't want to go through that again. Also like I said they basically helped me raise my daughter and she really loves them ALOT. More than most kids love there grandparents. I am afraid what will happen to her if something happens to one of them neither one of them is healthy and the drugs sure don't help. I try to space her away from them but then she resents me it is starting to hurt our relationship. What should I do? Sorry this was so long I just wanted to try and get most of the story in so u could try to imagine how I feel Thanks to all who take the time to read this.

Hi all! This is for those of you that have or have had the same neurologist for 4 years or more. I have been with mine now since 2009. He is one of the best movement disorder secialists in the midwest. I know he is extremely busy on the lecture circuit now and in fact not taking new patients there is a huge waiting list for him. BUT.... I feel like my visits are not what they use to be. He...
I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...
