Hello Everyone;
It's been awhile since I have written. Anyway, I wanted to update all of you, b/c you have been a major part in the development of my life. Not sure if you remember, but I was the women who left her husband that's addicted to heroin. I left approximately 3 months ago with my two young children, got out & moved to another state. Update: I found a job working in a medical office & the children are doing much better. My sanity is better b/c I am no longer stressing about supporting my children. We have a home to live in, my sister moved out with her fiancee, a car to drive, food on the table, clothes on our backs. The necessities in life & I must say that we are happy. We are doing very well. There are times when the girls ask about their father, who has not contacted since approx. 4 weeks ago. They have not heard from him & they ask. My 7 year old wrote a letter & he has not responded. I told them not to worry about it. That there father is missing out on the most precious moments of their lives, it's not their fault & they should not expect very much from him. My daughter relates to him as the new daddy & I said that's right, she misses her old daddy. They have stopped disrespecting me, since I have had the talk about how I am doing the best that I can & I am the only one supporting us & taking care of us. Unfortunately, they know the difference. They don't get as much as they use to (toys), we live on a limited budget & I explained to them that he is not sending money. I know they understand & I'm sad that they must realize this at such a young age, but they do. Anyway, I just wanted to say that we are doing well. PEACE OF MIND is the best cure for us. I definitely have peace of mind, I no longer worry about if I'm getting the phone call, do I have $ to pay the bills, the worrisome person has disappeared. Life is challenging raising two little girls on my own, but it was the BEST DECISION I could have ever made. WE ARE HAPPY & WE FEEL GREAT. Just thought I should update everyone & say THANKS AGAIN for all of your help. I appreciate all the warm kinds words of encouragement & all of the advice. Thanks Again & for those of you dealing with the same, I wish you the best of luck & I hope that all of us can have PEACE OF MIND. Thank You AGain.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
And don't worry about the lack of toys and such. Your love for these kids are priceless, and you are teaching them a valuable lesson. I know how kids need time to adjust so I understand what you are saying..but again, you are giving those kids something that can never be measured in dollars.
