Well, for those of you who have been reading my journals, you know that I have had many guardian angels around me lately. Yet another showed up at my door today, in the form of my friend Kim. She brought some frozen meats, a toy that Noah had on his Christmas list. She also handed me an envelope, stating "This is for you, because you need it." She said it had been a group effort and I asked her who. She asked "do you really want to know?" I answered "yes, I would like to say proper thank you's". She told me if was from her, our CubMaster and his wife , who are friends of mine, and the CubScout committee chair and his wife, who I know only casually, through scouting.
Much to my amazement, the envelope contained $460.00 in cash. I was astounded, amazed, touched to the core of my soul. I sat down tonight and tried to write thank you letters and, I cannot come up with the right words. My heart is overflowing, I have a renewed sense of hope, a tremendous joy at this expression of friendship, an amazing relief that Noah will not remember this as "the Christmas Mom had no job, and there were no presents".
I don't want to be too sappy, but I want to be sincere, to let them know how much I TRULY appreciate their generosity, and the impact it will have on my family. Any eloquent suggestions are very much appreciated.

I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
