I was feeling really good when we found out my dad's EC is contained to the esophagus with only one suspicious looking node near the tumor site. His tumor is at the EG junction. We aren't meeting with doctors until Wednesday so now my mind is starting to worry and wonder the "what ifs?" I would just like to know if what is shown on the CT scan is usually accurate in reflecting whether the cancer has spread or not. I know there's no guarantee but please let me know if in your experience, your final diagnosis was in line with what the scan indicated. I know he still needs to have an endoscopic ultrasound for more staging accuracy as well. Thank you.
