I was diagnosed when I was 13 and was put on tons of meds that never worked or meds that I couldn't function on. 10 yrs went by and got a second opinion because I knew it had something to do with hormones. I was told that I had catamenial epilepsy. They said I should go to my O/B to getthe perscription but the O/B said they couldn't do that for a condition they don't treat. I can't get it from anyone. Not alot of dr.'s agree with this treatment. Does anyone think or know if the progesterone IUD would help. I was told that I needed progesterone and that IUD releases that hormone and I have seizures around my period and that IUD is known to stop your period. Any ideas???
