Hi all, I was just curious as to the sort of epileptic out on the market that I am not aware of. My docs have commented that we are running out of medications to treat my seizures. I have been on topamax, diltin, tregetol, lamtical and keppra. I had a allegric reaction to diltin, tregetol and lamictal, so am also allegric to any AED containing them. I experience slurred speech on topamax and am currently on keppra. My doc have already said that epilum is out of the question as I already have a tremour in my hands and it would apparently make it worse. Does anyone know of any other drugs out there on market. I live in Australia so we may be a little behind on what is recently out. I see my neuro on thursday but would love to have some idea of what might be suggested.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
Because the seizures of NES and epilepsy are very similar...only distinguishable on EEG...while you are fitting....
I know for sure I am not epileptic.....and have very severe side effects from all drugs except Tegretol.......and have problems with WBC on that.....
can you confirm with neuro that he's sure of diagnosis....? NES is very often associated with childhood trauma, and therapy is known to help...that's pretty much all they know!
I have questioned my diagnoses serval times and each time has concluded the same thing. I have informed my docs that if there is any doubt I want off meds but after taking me off meds and my eeg going nuts they are pretty certain.
