I have a 3 year old who was just diagnosed with focal motor seizures. He has had two group of about 3 over less then 2 days a year ago, and then nothing until 3 months ago and then a group of another 3 where he just twitches in his arm and neck. He appears to be unresponsive but otherwise is fine. This time the neurologist has started him on medicine and said he will be on it for a minimum of 2 years. I'm just uncertain if this is his best course of action. The seizures do not seem severe and he has not gotten them over a long period of time. I'm just not sure I'm doing the right thing. He does has a twin sister that has had some other neurological problem so they are thinking this might be caused from a brain scar. We go in for a MRI on Friday. Any thoughts on keeping him on medicine would be appreciated.

I'm interested to know how others...
