I have a daughter that is now 16 years old. She will be 17 in Sept. She was born normal and I say due to the DPT vaccination, without fever, she had infantile spams which resulted in her being severe profound and uncontrollable seizures. It has been a struggle with different medications to help control the seizures. She got the Vagus Nerve Stimulator a year ago and on 4 different types of medication, Lamictal, Tranxene, Trileptal and newly added Vimpat. Because of the seizure control Vimpat was added and Zonegran was weaned off. She has an unknown etiology for her condition with several diagnosis of Epilepsy, Encephalitis, Cerebal Palsy, Failure to Thrive, Swallowing Dysfunction, Ataxia, with severe developmental delay. She has been on several medications throughout the years that went beyond her therapeutic levels and had to be changed. She has been on Topomax, Phenobarbital, Dilantin, Valporic Acid, Keppra, Clonazepam, Tegretal and Neutrontin. She is now going through puberty. I have added several vitamins to her diet to try to help with control of the seizures and her seizures are still not controlled. She is having seizures 2 X's a day but not as long with the stimulator. The seizures gives her a set back in progress and her eating and drinking for a few days to a week. She is already little. Does anybody have any advice on what else I can try? Does anybody know of similar cases and what has been done?

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
