Sometimes the cure is worse than what ails you. I have (for the most part) got my grand mals under control with tegratol. I am allergic to all the other meds so far or have really really bad side effects. because I want to go back to work and I have to drive to get there. I have to try another drug. My siezures that I suffer from now mostly only effect my language, I get auras sometimes hours in advance.
Now I have to try another med. that may leave me hospitalized, I am tempted just to tell the doc I am taking them and say they are working.
I am sick of being sick

Yikes! Never lie to your doctors. Simply tell him or her you don't want to take that one med & ask for another option...

Agree w/ Kc, don't lie or the outcome will be devastating (i.e. you will suffer more than imagined). Just tried different meds until your grand mal is fixed and without allergy? There should be one which works for you, good luck.

Please do not stop your meds and drive, I had to learn the hard way, head on collision driving the wrong way on a divided highway. Luckey for me I was the only one hurt. I've had really good luck with lamictal, it was the only one to stop my grand mals

I understand exzactly what you mean. I am on a combo of three meds now. They have tried all but these three. I was allergic to tegratol myself. It is so hard because i am a mother of two and i need to care for my children and get them to where they need to be. i want to drive now more then ever. However, it is not just my life at sake but thiers as well. Best wishes to you and hugs.

I agree , never lie to your doctor, no matter how bad thngs may seem. Dont think that way, the only problem is they have not found the right medicine which can control your seizures. Just hang in their. And driving, and working, way to go, be careful, a lot of people with seizures cannot drive, i would advise you not to until the right meds are given to you. tc my friend

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
