I am 38 and have complex partial seizure disorder and am scheduled for a hysterectomy for blood clotting and severe pain during my periods. My gyno plans on leaving my ovaries.
My seizures are always more frequent before my period. I was wondering if anybody can tell me what affect their hysterectomy had on their seizures?

My seizures come between ovulation and the first two days of menstruation, therefore my neuro has diagnosed me with Catamenial Epilepsy. I've just started PRT- Progesterone Replacement Therapy. I hope that will help control them a little more than the AED's are. No word for me on a hysterectomy. I wish you luck! I hope your seizures stop!
