My 7 yr old son only has seizures anywhere from 1 to 3 hours after he had gone to sleep. It is very scary for me to sleep in my own bed because I feel if he were to have a seizure I may not know about it. He was first diagnosed when he was five. He woke with a partial seizure which turned into a grand-mal. He vomitted while he was having the seizure which resulted in asparating. The EMT's were great and were able to clear his throat with a suction tube, but he ended up in the hospital for 5 days. Now I am so afraid for him to be alone at night, but would like to start sleeping back in my own room. What do parents do for piece of mind at night. I can't sleep with him forever.
