Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.

As I am reading so many women's stories, I am hearing more and more that most people had their endo or most of it removed via laparoscopy.
My doc said he lasered of two pieces duirng my diagnosis, but since it was "everywhere" he only did what he could find. Is this accurate...could he have gotten more...and just didn't? How did these other docs remove so much and he couldn't?
I am wondering what differentiates this surgery from what other women have had? Why couldn't he take more off?
I am really concerned that the Lupron he has me on will not kill all of the existing lesions, and then I will be 6 months into this shot with all the side effects and not in a better position. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks so much for your help.

I just had my first surgery in September to diagnose me with endo. I had three spots removed from underneth my ovary and my Dr. gave me pictures to prove it. They showed me first hand before and after pictures of what was there and what was removed. That helped me understand what was going on. I expected to see huge tissue masses inside me but what was hurting me so bad were three medium size spots. There should be documented pictures from your surgery ask your Dr. if he has any and if you could see them. I think that would help.

Thanks. I do have the pictures. I am not so concerned with that as why some docters can get most of the endo removed via surgery(as some women have stated) and other doctors cannot.

Removing some of the endro has to do with where its located. Remember that it isn't always the best to distrub whats there. I know it sounds mean, thou if could be located somewhere, where trying to remove it might be more of a risk, than the out come. Just do all your home work investigating all the info you can on endo, and always ask questions, sometimes one has to ask question in both ways. Will it help or make things worse.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
