Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.

Hi everyone. I have severe endo involving my bowel and was wondering if any of you get any of these symptoms:
- bad stomach pains, not in lower abdomen but further up, feels like trapped wind or something.
- bad lower back pain
- Pain in the side, almost like a stitch when you run but like a dull ache.
Also, is the most common type of pelvic pain low down in the abdomen, or can you get endo related pains anywhere in the 'stomach' area.
Grateful of any advice
Andrea

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I have the back pain as well, this is definitely worse before my period, but I ave found that I have it periodically throughout the month as well.
As for the pain in the side I actually have it about 3 inches to the left of my right hip, they originally though it was my appendix, but when they did the lap they said they didn't see anything. This is actually where I usually have the worse pain, so I am wondering if there isn't some hidden endo there that they just didn't see. (they found it everwhere but there which I thought was odd since that is where I hurt the most).
This is getting to be a long list of complaints, but basically I think you can get the endo anywhere, and I think the back pain especially is really common. I also have a lot of bowel issues and I see a gastrointestinal dr. as well in conjunction with my gyno, they happen to be friends so they seem to work well together.
I cramp from my stomach to my lower abdomen and it gets worse when I eat and I have dull achey lower back pain. I sometimes experience the stich in the side pain too but it's a sharp pain for me. I also get extremely painful gas. And it's difficult for me to stand up straight and walk. And it hurts to pee to the point that I get dizzy and nauseated on the toilet and think I may pass out and/or throw up. Endo sucks.
I have all of the above. You can get endo just just about everywhere but most cases are rare. Mine was all over my bladder, intestines, bowels and the pouch of douglas (kinda behind your cervix)Don't feel like you are alone, I know what you are dealing with...it is very painfull!

I just had excision surgery by the author, Dr. Sinervo at the CEC. He excised Endo on my bowel which I hope once I heal will help my symptoms. Good luck!
