Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.
My husband and I are currently in the same boat and while we feel like we need a few years before we have kids I am really scared that we may not have that time.
We are planning to see a specialist in endo at a fertility clinic. I am lucky that there happens to be one near us, it is just a matter of getting in. So we'll see how that goes, but my gyno who did my lap recommended this. She said he should be able to tell us better my chances of conceiving and how long we can possibly wait.
All I cans ay is hang in there and don't stop seeing doctors and seeking answers untill you find something that works for the both of you.
Its not an easy thing to go through, most of us girls dont even fully understand wats going on with us.
Give your wife cuddles and let her know how much you love her ( that always helps) As for you dont get your hopes up yet, if you cant have babies naturally theres always ivf and adoption(thats wat me and my partner are planning to do.) Good on ya for asking for advice, and welcome to the site :)
I love my husband... I am still attracted to him... however with the pain and mood swings... sex is the last thing I want to do..it has become a chore.... I would encourage you to be affectionate with her and make it clear that affection does not always have to lead to sex... that way when she does want to show you some love she won't feel that showing you that affection has to lead to sex...she may want to show you the love but now feel well enough to have sex.... I hope that makes sense...
Having children was very hard for us it took us 10 years to finally have a daughter,we went to all kind of fertility clinics but the thing that worked for us was a hormone call serophen it's suppose to make you ovulate more and after the second try it worked, we now have a healthy 2 years old, so don't give up hope.
