Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.

Does anyone ever feel like their ovaries are just going to pop? I'm sure that I've probably asked this question before. I am in so much pain today. I'm guessing that it is radiating from my ovaries. It is on my right and left sides, right above my hips and in a little towards my middle. It seriously feels like whatever that is...is just going to pop. In the meantime, my legs are radiating in pain and spasming and my hips are throbbing.
Anyone know what this is? Anyone have any tips to help? I take pain medication for it, which doesn't help; hot baths; heating pads; resting; stretching; I don't know what else to try. It is the worst right before my period...which of course is now, but it there (mostly the leg issues) all the time. Please, any advice is welcome.
Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
When I've asked my doctor, he's told me that since it is exactly the same kind of pain each time this happens, which for me is about once every few months, he thinks that a cyst is bursting.
I tend to get a lot of cysts accompanying my Endo.
Nothing I've done seems to help the pain though and he couldn't suggest anything either.
So sorry.
So, long story, not so short, I am very familiar with cysts rupturing. It doesn't feel like it did before. Which is why I'm trying to figure out what else it could possibly be. I've researched it and keep coming to dead ends. I wish someone had an answer. I want to make it stop.
I don't think I have had that exact pain...my ovary pain is a little lower than you are describing. When I am having that pain it does feel like something is about to burst. When I was 18 I actually went to the ER with such tremendous pain my mom thought I had appendicitis or kidney stones. Nope, turned out I was only ovulating! I had Mittleschmertz...(mid pain)...what happened was when my egg popped out of the ovary and was being sucked into the tube...the sac around the egg burst and that little teeny tiny bit of fluid went into my abdomen and left me feeling like I was about to die!! NOTHING I did woudl take away the pain...I even tried making myself throw up because I felt so sick to my stomach from it. How embarrassing to have to tell my dad we had to pull him home from work to take me to the ER because I was ovulating!
SOOO sorry you are in so much pain!!!
I'm sorry that you feel that pain and I really do wish that I could have some advice for you. If I find out anything, I'll let you know. :)
