Endometriosis Support Group
Endometriosis is a common medical condition where the tissue lining the uterus is found outside of the uterus, typically affecting other organs in the pelvis. The condition can lead to serious health problems, primarily pain and infertility. A major symptom of endometriosis is pain, mostly in the lower abdomen, lower back, and pelvic area.

I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
I have had a few laps...sometimes they tell you right away when you wake OR a nurse will go get the doc to come talk to you
other times I have woke up and they say go home your doc will call you or tell you to mke an apt with your doc to get results...
the time I was sent to a different province for the lap they discharged me too early.. I was throwing up in the wheel chair as they pushed me out the front door of the hospital... For this reason I suggest you bring someone with you who is confident and will speak up for you...
As far as operations go Laps are really not bad... try to stay positive..that helps too
I agree with Chunkie....the gast pain in the sholders is the worst part. I read somewhere to take anti gas pills...which I didn't think would work but they did help. But be prepared to just be uncomfortable for the first few days. At my follow up I was told I couldn't lift anything over 20 pounds for about 2-3 weeks....and then after that I had to just gauge how I felt. I am a nanny and it was difficult because I have kids that weight more than that...but it was fine..it took me probably 8 weeks to feel completely 100% fine. There will be times when you move a certain way or too fast and you are just reminded by a tweak of pain that you can't do that yet!
Good luck and no worries!! The surgery itself is fine. You will do great!
I guess it's different with each Dr.
I was off work for a week or so and was told not to lift anything until my follow-up visit.
You may have to have someone go with you to drive you...I was out of it for quite a while after mine.
Hugs and thoughts your way.

Check your temp. often, you wouldn't want to suffer through an infection. Drink water like a camel coming in from the desert.
but another question..will i be able to move around the day after or does it all depend on how bad or good it went?

To also reply to sarah4710, for me I was NOT mobile for a week. I was completely bedridden. Coughing, sneezing, laughing, crying, adjusting my position in bed, ALL hurt like hell and made me want to cry, the pain was so bad.
It's different for everyone. My left ovary was stuck to the back of my uterus so the surgeon unstuck it and put it back in the right place, and cleaned off the Endo from it. I also had Endo on the back of my uterus and on my bladder. The Endo could not be removed from my bladder for fear of puncturing the bladder.
Your insides will take a beating from all the prodding and flushing out of blood and particles during the surgery, as well as from the gas to inflate you for surgery.
The shoulder pain for me was alleviated by reclining in bed 24/7 - even sleeping in reclined position. I took lots of pain meds and used a heating pad on my shoulder, as well as muscle rub, and that all helped. The shoulder pain was gone after about 2 days.
It took about 6 days before I could be up and walking without wanting to cry.
It took me 11 days total from surgery to get back to work again.
Again, it's not the same for everyone.
